This is a wonderful introduction, and I'm looking forward to more! I've been a vegetarian for most of my life but have struggled with veganism. I see so much value in it--for the sake of farmed animals, for the environment, for my health--but I can't seem to get it right when I try to follow a vegan diet. (I also don't require my pets to follow my lifestyle preferences, though I once had a friend in college ask me if my cat was a vegetarian like me. No.) I'm interested in reading and learning from you, and I love that you've included "imperfectly." There's a chance I'll be able to manage that!
Thank you so much, Heather! Cats cannot be vegan. At the sanctuary, we feed the cats their natural diet. So, even at the sanctuary, we are imperfectly vegan.
If you will give me a date or two I could start looking at fares! How exciting.i was thinking maybe a “long weekend”, like Thurs Night arrival, leave Monday. We are free though, so during the week is grand too! 😘
I enjoyed reading your first entry! I also have a history of imperfect Vegan living- but the desire to continue along a plant-based path never leaves my heart. Growing old "healthfully and gracefully" is very important to me, and I always enjoy seeing your animal sanctuary photos. We just moved to New England and getting settled in. Everything feels new and shiny, and receiving about health & wellness tips is nourishing & grounding. The month of January is a perfect moment to both reflect back and look forward- and I wish you the best this year with your new blog!
You're in New England!!! OMG! That's practically my neighborhood. I have got to get the details on that.
Thank you for reading my first post, Gina! I love you. You've been a huge part of my healthful journey. I hope you're loving New England. One of my visions is to someday (soon, hopefully) live in Brattleboro, VT. It has everything I love, except the sanctuary I work for. It's so hard to imagine leaving all my babies behind.

I will give you dates! YAY! ❤️
Yes, if that is a good time for you. It will be so lovely to see you and just talk talk talk. Then the sanctuary!!! 🤭🙌🎈❤️
Yes! I’m moving at the end of May. June is a lovely month here. Not too humid but nice and warm.
Lynn, you bring me such joy.
When are you coming visit? June?
What a strong, gorgeous debut! Thank you for sharing your vegan journey. I cannot wait to see how this all unfolds.
❤️❤️❤️ Thank you, Hannah. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
I agree with everything Heather said. "Imperfectly" is perfect. It is a wonderful intro and grabbed my attention.
Thank you so much, Mardi. I'm so happy to be connected here!
